Story
An individual that has undergone an amazing evolution from a short-lived Bertapod subspecies that was normally created for flight. The specimen appears to have unusually high durability and intelligence, and appears to imitate what appears to be a human opera song as it descends on its own.
If a Beltapod queen is encountered near this specimen, she is said to imitate a human bicep pose and show off her enormous arm muscles. Their legs may look weak, but they can quickly close the distance to their targets and fire a powerful beam of light that scorches their prey.
The flies are doomed to death in almost all cases. Disturbances caused by dimensional instability often send flies into areas where they cannot survive. In almost all planes, even the lowest forms of life consume flies as a feast.
However, in rare exceptions, a twist of fate may give the fly a chance to resist. Beelzebub was a very lucky fly. Thrown into a world of abundance, he was allowed to eat to his heart's content and accumulate power without any competition. And with his newfound power, he seeks something no fly has ever pursued before.
