Story
Long ago, humans discovered a heavenly relic and used its angelic power to build a gigantic ship to explore the expanses of the universe. The gigantic ship called "Babel" carried humanity far from home, allowing them to colonize other planets and expand into the intergalactic world.
Eventually, humans found the end of the universe. With minds too fragile to comprehend the realm before them, they entered what they could only call "heaven." There, a seemingly harmless being enters the celestial realm and encounters a higher being, an angel. The being made a wish, and the angel granted it. The wish manifested itself as a dark and insidious mass of power, with destructive power on a cosmic scale. A power that corrupts and rots everything it touches.
The power of Megium.
The great ship of humanity was destroyed, along with almost half of the celestial realm. The Fragments of Heaven were scattered across the universe, passing through humanity's many intergalactic colonies, bringing them the spread of angelic power. ERNA was established to collect and secure undiscovered fragments of heaven and welcome those who have received heavenly power into the organization.
In its early years, ERNA had few angelic resources, and the human soldiers they conscripted were given extensive cybernetic enhancements. In this way, a robot super-soldier with almost no humanity left was created. To give direction to ERNA's future, the first production line was designed around the theme of "direction." A squad of seven mechanical soldiers has joined ERNA's elite ranks. Its members were The Frontman, The Backman, The Leftman, The Rightman, The Upman, The Downman, and finally The Middleman.
Over time, ERNA was able to harness the power of the celestial shards she recovered to build an army that greatly outnumbered her cybernetic soldiers. Even though the seven machines rebelled against the organization and began to go their separate ways, growing contempt and hatred for ERNA, ERNA either did not notice or did not care.
